В Образовательном центре «НИВА» состоялось первое занятие по программе обучения разговорному английскому языку «English-speaking conversation club with a native speaker from Australia» («Английский разговорный клуб с преподавателем – носителем языка из Австралии»). Преподаватели центра «НИВА», общаясь на английском языке, обсудили плюсы и минусы искусственного интеллекта. Мы решили рассказать вам об этой встрече и о преимуществах участия в нашем разговорном клубе на английском языке и уверены, что вы сможете прочитать и понять данную информацию!

The typical situation that takes place when you have been studying or teaching the English language for some many years: «After years of teaching English, I realized my students all had the same problem. They could speak to me in English and they could speak to their friends in English just fine, but when they met a native speaker, or someone they didn’t know, they froze, they panicked and they forgot everything». One of the ways to solve this problem is to practise speaking in a real-life setting in a group of fellow learners under the guidance of an experienced native speaker.

In September our English Speaking Club opened its doors for the first participants. The English teachers of the educational centre NIVA met to discuss a complex and philosophical topic: «Pros and Cons of AI». The questions and the tasks were challenging and thought-provoking. It was a great chance to be engaged in meaningful conversations and to be involved in spontaneous discussions. A supportive and non-judgmental setting, an authentic environment, feedback from the competent and creative host let the participants communicate more effectively and naturally. The teachers really felt free, safe, curious and excited to talk. The session was a success!
